Discussing with the students the terms plot and story
Students defining for themselves the meaning of and difference between the two terms
Fairy tale: The prince has asses’ ears.

Discussing plot as sequence of events
What happened “first, next, then, after, later and finally”
Students understanding that plot deals with time, and the why and how of the story and that plot is a central sub-set of the two
Power-point – an analysis of The CLAW by James Robertson (taken from the internet)
11.30 am to 12.30 am
Looking at story as setting (space/place –time as place ,time as past, present, future, alternate, parallel) theme, character, characterization, style , narrative method, vocabulary etc. isolatedly and in connection with each other.
Finally looking at story as immersion, agency, transformation and perspectives.
